Celebrating 36 Years of Promoting "Aging Well, Living Well"
Through Activity, Fun and Friendly Competition

Out of an abundance of caution in response to the rapidly developing situation with coronavirus (COVID-19), AAANWA is canceling all events for the 2020 Northwest Arkansas Senior Games that was scheduled from April 3, 2020 through April 25, 2020. We will be processing refunds for those registrations and entry fees that have already been received. You will receive a refund in the mail within the next couple of weeks.

In the spring of 2019 a crowd of 225 seniors converged on Harrison to participate in the Northwest Arkansas Senior Games' track, field and fun events.  The Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Arkansas sponsors the event each year and has announced dates for the 2020 games.  The 36th Annual NW Arkansas Senior Games will kick off with the women's 8-ball pool competition on Friday, April 3, and the men's 8-ball pool competition on Friday, April 10, at the Springdale Senior Activity and Wellness Center, 203 Park Street in Springdale, Arkansas.  The bowling competition will be held on Wednesday, April 15, at Springdale Bowl in Springdale, Arkansas.  Archery will be held on Saturday, April 25, at Bull Shoals City Park in Bull Shoals, Arkansas The big track, field and fun event day will be held on Friday, April 24, 2020.  The track and field events will be held at the F.S. Garrison Stadium and Cash Center, Harrison Senior High School at 1754 Burlsway in Harrison, Arkansas. 

The competitions will include events for the serious competitor as well as a host of recreational and fun games including: a wide variety of walks, dashes, and runs, even a 3K run; shot put, running long jump, javelin, and standing long jump; dominoes, baggo, daisy air gun, softball throw, stationary cycling, basketball shoot, spin casting, football throw, nail pounding, Skip-Bo, and a balloon bust relay. The competitions are divided into age groups. Medals will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

Over the past several years, a number of corporations and businesses have become partners, providing financial support for senior services through their Northwest Arkansas Senior Games sponsorship. 
 
The games are open to people age 50 and older and pre-registration is required. The registration deadline for the 8-ball pool tournament will be March 23, 2020. For all other events the registration deadline is April 6, 2020.
