Support Groups

There are many support and self-help groups in the area that offer assistance and information with a variety of problems and diseases. Contact your local hospital for health related groups such as arthritis, cancer, or diabetes. Contact your local Adult Day Care or nursing home regarding caregivers or Alzheimer’s groups. Contact your local Hospice or funderal home for support groups to help deal with loss of a loved one.
Contact the listing under Counseling, page 10, for groups that deal with emotional problems, mental illness, drug and alcohol abuse. Many national health organizations also provide support group information. For information on any of these health related groups and organizations,
