Provides referrals for persons age 65 or older who do not
have access to an ophthalmologist they have seen in the past.
Callers are mailed the name of a local participating doctor to
provide medical eye exams and treatment, if necessary. Doctors
accept insurance reimbursement as payment in full.

services for the blind and visually impaired are available on
a statewide basis through the Arkansas Library Commission,
Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped.
These services include the distribution of talking book
machines and tape cassette playback machines as well as the
lending of reading materials reproduced on records, tapes, in
Braille or large print sent by mail.
