Adult Day Center programs provide a
home-like setting for frail elderly who need daytime supervision but do not yet require
skilled nursing care. The benefits of this program are three-fold; enhancing the
lives of the elderly participants through devoted care and attention, lowering the family
stress level brought on by worry and the pressure of constant care, and allowing the
elderly to remain at home with their families. The adult day care provides the participants with essential care and
attention, hot nutritious meals, recreational activities, physical exercise, and social
interaction while family members work, participate in community activities, run errands,
or just get away for an afternoon off.
