Dogwood Senior
Apartments, a housing complex with 20 energy- efficient apartments
developed to meet the needs of senior citizens, includes a number of
the units specifically designed for those with mobility, hearing, or
visual impairments. Each apartment has central heat and air
conditioning and is furnished with a range, a frost-free refrigerator,
and an emergency signaling device. Water and trash pickup are included
in rent. The complex also includes a community building, which houses
a multi-purpose room, laundry facilities, and the manager’s office.
Rent for qualified
applicants is subsidized with HUD funds. To qualify, the head of
household must be 62 years old or older, or a member of the
household must be disabled. Annual gross
income cannot be more than $15,450 for one person or $17,650 for two
people. Rent is based on adjusted income* with preference
given to extremely low-income seniors. Additional information

The Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Arkansas is
a non-profit agency dedicated to improving the lifestyle of people 60
years of age and older, helping them to remain independent and at home

in long-term care facilities.
